Jihočeská univerzita v Českých Budějovicích

The University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice uses the bioWEs system for the management of experimental data and metadata within the Institute of Complex Systems, Faculty of Fisheries and Water Conservation. The system is used for data storage together with the description of the experiment and for collaboration within the institute and with foreign partners. bioWES is used for data management in the field of time-lapse microscopy and research on automated systems monitoring fish and crayfish behaviour.

The system has been used since 2014 as a testbed for collaborative improvements. The bioWES system makes it possible to trace information about the measured and processed data, which streamlines the whole research and ensures reproducibility of the results.
