INEX 2026 – Czech nuclear industry in Busan, South Korea

dataPartner among the 14 selected representatives representing the Czech nuclear industry at INEX 2026 in South Korea.

On April 22–24, 2026, we were delighted to participate, together with other Czech companies from the nuclear industry – including the Dukavany II Power Plant – in the largest nuclear trade fair INEX 2026 in Busan, South Korea.

dataPartner at INEX 2026 in Busan, Korea

During personal meetings at INEX 2026, our colleague Adéla Voráčková presented technologies, engineering know-how and experience from domestic and foreign nuclear projects and, most importantly, established new business contacts.

Participation in INEX 2026 meant for us:

✔ meeting with important partners from both South Korea and the Czech Republic
✔ the possibility of joining the supply chain of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Company (KHNP) in the completion of Dukovany
✔ the opportunity to be part of broader cooperation between the Czech Republic and South Korea

Thank you for being able to participate in the INEX 2026 nuclear fair.
We greatly appreciate the excellent organization and support from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, KOTRA Prague, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Seoul and other partners who have long helped to open doors to foreign markets for Czech companies 🌏

We believe that meetings like the one at INEX 2026 are the key to developing international cooperation 🤝 and strengthening the role of the Czech industry in the field of nuclear energy ⚛️🚀

dataPartner s.r.o. has been operating on the market for 28 years. Thanks to its many years of experience, dataPartner has moved from a subcontractor of partial systems to an integrator of I&C systems and a manufacturer of important components for neutron flux measurement systems (NIS) and for reactor rapid shutdown systems (RPS).

The main competencies of dataPartner includes the following products and services:

  • Experimental nuclear reactor control systems (RCS)
  • Neutron flux measurement systems (NIS)
  • Reactor emergency shutdown systems (RPS)
  • Automatic nuclear reactor power regulator
  • Process control and management systems, HMI, SCADA systems
  • Measurement and regulation systems for industrial applications and buildings
  • Development and production of electronic devices
  • Measuring and testing workplaces for industrial products
  • Custom and individual development of software and hardware according to customer specifications

The diversity, professionalism of processing and operational reliability of control and management systems after the implementation of innovative projects speak of the high qualification of dataPartner and the quality of the products and services provided by us.

Neutron instrumentation system (NIS)
Neutron flux measurement channels (NI) provide measurements of neutron flux density and rate of power change for nuclear reactor control and protection systems. Outputs from NI systems are used for reactor control and can initiate its shutdown when limit values are exceeded.

The NI channel consists of two units: a measuring unit and an evaluation unit. The combination of these two units allows the system to be used for a wide range of reactor power from the start-up range to the power pulse.

The signals from the fission chambers are read by the measuring units and transmitted in digital form via an optical cable to the evaluation unit for calculating the neutron flux and the rate of change of power. The values from the fission chambers are read by the measuring unit every 10 ms and sent every 100 ms to the evaluation unit. The calculated values are updated every 100 ms in the evaluation unit and converted to common units and can be expressed in %, cps, A or W.

Systém rychlého odstavení reaktoru (RPS)
The supplied Rapid Reactor Shutdown System (RPS) is a powerful safety system designed to perform safety functions (SCRAM) in the event of non-compliance with the operating limits and conditions defined for reactor operation. SCRAM circuits are implemented on relay logic, which consists of certified safety relays.

The RPS system consists of switchboards, SCRAM units containing modules: HRPWR (power), HRLOGx (relay logic), HROUT (output), power switches and diagnostics. The modules are housed in a 3U chassis and installed in a 19″ rack.

The testability of the RPS device is ensured by the following features:

– The power supply cards are equipped with diagnostics that prevent power from being activated if any relay contact is stuck. The output card is equipped with similar diagnostics that prevent power from being supplied to the contactors if any contactor contact is stuck.

– On the front of the SCRAM cards there are indicator LEDs. These LEDs indicate the status and presence of both poles of the relay power supply. They also provide information about the presence and correctness of the power supply branches. Next to each LED on the card is its description.

– The diagnostic functions include signals indicating the correct level of the supply voltage and the correct functioning of all power supplies. The power supply branch for contactors and electromagnets is equipped with insulation diagnostics.

In conclusion
Currently, dataPartner provides service for research reactors in the Czech Republic, Austria, Jamaica and Poland. We are currently implementing a delivery for a nuclear power plant, which is participating in the renewal of the diesel generator control system at the Temelín NPP.
