This is post-malfunction maintenance. The aim is to quickly remove the fault so that the object can perform the required function. Corrective maintenance is restorative; it reacts to a fault or malfunction that has occurred so it is dealt with after the fact. It includes addressing the breakdown and repairing reported failures.
